Eligibility: Candidates should have Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) with the Bachelor’s degree /equivalent Qualification with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) obtained after a minimum of 10+2+3 years of education or a professional qualification like CA/ICWA/CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC / ST Candidates) Or BE / B.Tech degree or equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) and two years of relevant work experience. Those who have done their PGP from XLRI, any IIM, MDI Gurgaon, FMS Delhi or XIM Bhubaneswar, with a CQPI of at least 6.00/- 8.00 or equivalent will be exempted from appearing in XAT, Instead of taking  XAT, FPM candidates can also submit GMAT / GRE / GATE / UGS JRF (Research) Results taken during the year January 2009 and December 2010.

APPLICATIONS FOR B.SC (NURSING) / GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY (GNM) COURSE.

Applications are invited from Female candidates for admission to 4 years B.Sc (Nursing ) course commencing in Aug 2011 at College of Nursing and 3 ½ years Training of Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery course commencing in Sep 2011 at various Armed Forces Hospitals. Selected candidates shall execute an agreement / Bond to Serve in the military Nursing Service (MNS) for 5 years. On successful completion of Nursing Training (4/3 ½ yrs), the candidates will be granted commission in the military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission They shall have to refund the entire cost of training in the event of withdrawal from the course, termination of training or refusal to accept commission in the MNS, if offered During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, Uniform allowance and monthly stipend.

Eligibility Conditions

1.    Female candidates who are unmarried / divorcee / legally separated or widow without encumbrances.
2.    Nationality –Indian
3.    Date of Birth- Between 01.Aug 86 and 31 Jul 94.
4.    Educational Qualification: Should have passed in the First Attempt the complete senior secondary (10+2) / equivalent examination from a recognized Board / University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50% aggregate marks as a regular students Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply The candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying exam before joining the course. Those who have passed such examinations as private students or with compartment in any subject are not eligible.
5.    Physical Standards: Medical fitness will be determined as per military Standards by military Authorities X-Ray examination of Chest and USG (of abdomen) will be done.
Selection: Eligible applicants will be called for an objective type written test of 90 minutes duration, covering General English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General intelligence, likely to be held in Dec 2010 / Jan2011. The parts of question paper pertaining to Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Intelligence will be bilingual. Candidates as per merit on the basis of written test will be called for interview during Mar / Apr 2011. Final Selection will be based on combined merit, Subject to medical fitness.

Medical Examination: After the interview the recommended candidates will have to appear for medical examination before a Special Medical Board (SMB) Candidates declared Fit / Unfit will be informed by the president of the medical Board including the procedure of requesting for Appeal/Review Medical Board.

1.    MBA  (Full Time ): Candidates applying for admission to the 2- year Full Time MBA Must have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree programme after 12 yeas of formal schooling. The minimum requisite percentage of marks (in aggregate) in different disciplines: Arts, Commerce or Social Science- 50% ; Sciences-55% ; Mathematics or statistics- 60%; Medicine, Engineering or Technology- 60% / CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00 or post Graduate Degree or 2nd Degree examination after 10+2+3 scheme, securing at least 60% marks. Candidates appearing for the final examination of Bachelor’s post Graduate Degree examination may also apply.
2.    MBA (Part Time): Candidates seeking admission to the three-year MBA Part Time programme must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree Examination of at least three years duration in Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering or Technology of the University of Delhi or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 45% marks in aggregate in the first Degree Examination and possess other qualifications mentioned hereunder. Relaxation from the minimum marks required in the First Degree Examination may be made for candidates who have obtained 55% or more marks in any post Graduate Degree or at least 60% marks in Diploma in Personnel Management, Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management or Diploma in Administrative Management of the University of Delhi. As on 1st August 2011, candidates should have a minimum of three years experience, as an Executive or Administrator in a Commercial, Industrial or Government Establishment after passing the Bachelor’s Degree Examination. Candidates must be sponsored by his /her present employer.
3.    MBA (Health care Administration) Part time: Candidates seeking admission to the three- years MBA (HCA) Part time programme shall have passed a Bachelor’s Degree Examination in medicine of the University of Delhi or any other experience as on 1st August 2011, in Health care Administration after acquiring the Bachelors Degree in Medicine. The Scholarship covers academic fees as well as the hostel fees for the entire duration of the course, commencing with the academic session of the first year.

Government in Higher Education Department is inviting ON-LINE application through Common Application Form for Award of Scholarship (CAFAS) of its official website www.dheorissa.in  for various scholarships are being awarded by State & Central Government. The meritorious / meritorious poor students of Orissa who are pursuing their higher studies including studies in Technical & Professional education can apply for the same.

Candidates are required to submit the application for the scholarship awarded by State Government ON-LINE and obtain the print out, put their signature and submit the same in the office of the Principal of the concerned college on or before 31-oct-2010 along with necessary documents, where required. While submitting the application the applicant should indicate his / her bank account number, branch and name of the bank so that the scholarship amount can be directly transferred to his / her account ON-LINE though the bank.

The Principals are required to countersign the applications and submit application relating to all scholarships (except national merit Scholarship ) to the under Secretary, Scholarship Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Orissa, Bhubaneswar, 751001 so as to reach on or before 15 Nov-2010.
