National Power Training Institute, Common Entrance Examination For Design, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2011

GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING 2011.

Admission to Postgraduate Courses (Masters and Doctoral) in the country, with MHRD and some other Government Scholarships in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science, is open to those who qualify in GATE. Validity of GATE 2011 score will be for a period of two years only from the date of announcement of results.

Eligibility: The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE:

1.    Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
2.    Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or per-final year of such programmes
3.    Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master’s degree programme (post-B.Sc) in Engineering / Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme and Dual Degree Programmr in Engineering / Technology.
4.    Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional Societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g.AMIE by IE (1), AME by ICE (1) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section Aor equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

There  are two different processes by which a candidate can apply for GATE 2011, namely, ONLINE and OFFLINE, For GENERAL/OBC category candidates, the application fee is Rs. 800/- for  ONLINE process and Rs . 1000/-for offline process. For SC / ST / PD (Person with Disability) category candidates, the application fee is Rs . 400/-for ONLINE process and Rs.500/-for OFFLINE process

ARCHITECTURE ADMISSIONS – 2010

The qualified candidates of  National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) belonging to AU/OU/SVU/NL local areas are Informed to attend the registration Process for getting in to First year B.Architecture course in university (Regular/ Part Time) and private colleges affiliated to JNAFA University, by enrolling their candidature in the respective NATA examination centers, along with the following documents attached to the application from, such as :- NATA Score Card, 10+2 (or)equivalent  Marks memo, SSC (or) equivalent certificate,  caste certificate (in case of BC/SC/ST/Spl. Category). Study certificate / residence certificate (from MRO/ Thasildhar-mentioning their post 7 years of stay)to prove their local area status.

Important Instructions:

1.    Please read carefully and follow the procedure meticulously for tabulating of data by the office of the Convener, Admissions NATA- 2010 so to award the rank accordingly.
2.    Any clarification (or) ambiguity, if found by the candidate, please contact respective NATA examination centers where you have appeared NATA examination.
3.    Any incomplete (or) in sufficient information found in the application form will be summarily rejected and the candidate will be disqualified in awarding rank. No further discussion will be entertained in this regard.
4.    Application from shall be issued at respective NATA test canters where they have given NATA examination.

The Schedule of procedure and NATA test centers in Andhra Pradesh are notified below:

1.    Submission of NATA score card, 10+2 (or) equivalent  marks memo, duly filled-in application from along with necessary documents mentioned in the application form, declaration by the candidate with the Parent / Guardian signature shall be submitted to the respective NATA Test center only: 21.07.2010 onwards (Daily 10.00 AM to 4 PM).
2.    Last date for submission of applications in all respect , including registration fee by the respective NATA Test Centers: 20.08.2010 by 5.00 PM.
3.    Declaration of NATA results by the Convenor, NATA Admissions 2010, in the JNAFA University Website www.jnafau.ac.in: 27.08.2010 by 5.00 PM.
4.    Admission (Counseling) will be held at Auditorium, School of Planning & Architecture, JNAFA University, Masab Tank, Hyderabad. (If required candidates need to stay back on 01-09-2010 for counseling): 30.08.2010 & 31.08.2010 10 AM onwards (each day).
5.    Commencement of B.Arch . 1 st year class work is 01-09-2010.

Students those who have appeared ‘NATA’ examination, shall register and submit their certificates along with application form, to their respective NATA test centers only, where they have given the NATA examination. Candidates should adhere to these guidelines strictly otherwise their application will not be accepted in any form.
Note: The  candidates domicile of AP but have appeared NATA examination outside the State of Andhra Pradesh shall submit their application form along with necessary documents for registration directly to the Convenor, NATA- Admissions 2010 in person, along with parent/Guardian Signature.
