National Power Training Institute, Common Entrance Examination For Design, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2011


GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING 2011.

Admission to Postgraduate Courses (Masters and Doctoral) in the country, with MHRD and some other Government Scholarships in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science, is open to those who qualify in GATE. Validity of GATE 2011 score will be for a period of two years only from the date of announcement of results.

Eligibility: The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE:

1.    Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
2.    Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or per-final year of such programmes
3.    Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master’s degree programme (post-B.Sc) in Engineering / Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme and Dual Degree Programmr in Engineering / Technology.
4.    Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional Societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g.AMIE by IE (1), AME by ICE (1) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section Aor equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

There  are two different processes by which a candidate can apply for GATE 2011, namely, ONLINE and OFFLINE, For GENERAL/OBC category candidates, the application fee is Rs. 800/- for  ONLINE process and Rs . 1000/-for offline process. For SC / ST / PD (Person with Disability) category candidates, the application fee is Rs . 400/-for ONLINE process and Rs.500/-for OFFLINE process

Qualifying Examination for Admission for Master of Design (M.Des) Programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and  IIT Kanpur, and Ph.D.Programmes in Design in some Institutes for the Academic Year 2011-2012

Eligiibility for CEED 2011:

Candidates must either have completed any of the following, by July 2011:

i.    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering-/Architecture/Desing/Interior Design, or equivalent
ii.    Professional Diplomain Design (NID/CEPT,or equivalent).
iii.    B.F.A. (4 YEAR Professional Programme, AFTER 10+2).
iv.    G.D.Art (5 years programme after 10 th ) with one year professional experience.
v.    Master’s degree in Arts/Science/Computer Applications.

ADMISSION IN TO NATIONAL POWER TRAINING INSTITUTE.

National Power Training Institute invites application from eligible candidates for admission in to Graduate Engineer course on Operation and Maintenance in Transmission and Distribution Systems.

This is a unique course of 26 weeks duration being conducted in the country by NPTI only. The course covers training on Operation and Maintenance of power Transmission and Maintenance of power Transmission and Distribution System. The course syllabus is approved by Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Government of INDIA under Indian electricity rules 1956 (2B) rule3.

Candidates who are passed B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / ower Engineering and Age  should be maximum 30 yrs. as on 01.10.2010 are eligible for this course. Selection will be made on the basic of percentage of marks obtained in BE or equivalent examination.
